1976-1978: After playing with his brother Joe for ten years, Jimmy D'Angelo formed his own band with Mad Angel alumni Donni Thayer (bass). Louie Santoro (drums) from Sledge-Hamma and (guitarist) Paul Coxx, aka Paul Tringuk, rounded out the quartet. Pretty Poison featured fabulous vocals and a stage presence that set them apart from the other bands of the era. The band played so much and so often that eventually they burned themselves out. Jimmy D'Angelo and Louie Santoro formed the band August in 1978.
